La Mort ~ chant militaire écrit dans les années 1970 sur l’air de Der Tod reit’t auf einem kohlshwarzen Rappen (la mort chevauche un destrier noir), traduit du chant néerlandais, Vlaamse dodendans (danse funèbre flamande), écrit par L. Van de Lende en 1916 évoquant les combats sanglants dans les Flandres en novembre 1914. La mélodie elle même a été empruntée à une danse rhénane du XVe siècle.
Cet étendard en forme de blason a été réalisé dans du velours noir de haute qualité, et a été entièrement brodé à la main.
Les appliqués ont été brodés à la laine fine d’Aubusson, le les faisceaux de Graal ont été réalisés à la laine fine d’Aubusson ainsi qu’au jaseron doré (fil métallique torsadé utilisé notamment pour les broderies d’habits militaires ou liturgiques).
La goutte a été sculptée puis fondue dans mon atelier.
Chaque étendard est personnalisé grâce au choix des franges. Trois finitions sont disponibles, visibles sur les photos :
- Franges noires
- Franges blanches
- Franges dorées
Chaque combinaison est limitée à deux exemplaires, ce qui en fait une pièce très limitée.

Les supports en fer forgé uniques ont été réalisés sur mesure par la forge artisanale Les Forges Du Diable.

La Mort ~ a military song written in the 1970s to the tune of Der Tod reit’t auf einem kohlshwarzen Rappen (“Death rides a coal-black steed”), translated from the Dutch song Vlaamse dodendans (Flemish Dance of Death), written by L. Van de Lende in 1916, evoking the bloody fighting in Flanders in November 1914. The melody itself was borrowed from a 15th-century Rhenish dance.
This shield-shaped banner was made from high-quality black velvet and entirely hand-embroidered.
The appliqués were embroidered with fine Aubusson wool, and the Grail fasces were created using fine Aubusson wool as well as gold jaseron (twisted metal thread notably used in military or liturgical embroidery).
The drop element was sculpted and then cast in my workshop.
Each banner is personalized through the choice of fringes. Three finishes are available, visible in the photos:
- Black fringes
- White fringes
- Gold fringes
Each combination is limited to two pieces, making this a very limited edition.
